    We are advertising for a Carbon Specialist to join our small yet growing team. The role is permanent, full-time. We’re looking for candidates who are based in and around Auckland.  

    What you’ll do:

    • Undertake GHG measurement, reduction and potentially removal assessments.

    • Engage with external partners, including NGOs, and industry groups, to stay informed of best practices and emerging trends.

    • Develop meaningful strategies and targets aligned with the organisation's sustainability goals.

    • Undertake or support carbon and impact measurement across related programmes of work, which could include pioneering research projects and/or be national or global in nature.

    • Join other team members to develop transition and net-zero action plans for a range of partners.

    • Undertake research and analysis which is in  support  of the project and not peripheral and/or off-brief with limited guidance and feedback.

    • Contribute to business development activities, such as the design and development of methods and training.

    • Help create an a welcoming and trusted environment for all clients and partners.

    We’re looking for a specialist with:  

    • A passion and drive for working on meaningful solutions to some of our greatest societal and environmental challenges.

    • Experience working in professional services or in a similar capacity within a relevant industry/company.

    • A proactive “can do mindset” – including a level of comfort working with ambiguity.

    • Detail conscious and a curious problem solver for clients and colleagues alike.

    • Real world experience in the area of sustainability, specifically with experience (ideally >2 years) in greenhouse gas accounting plus proven experience in various climate and carbon reporting frameworks such as ISO, PCAF, GHG Protocol

    • The ability to synthesize data and translate this into meaningful communications.

    • An interest in  building an inclusive working environment and have/aspire to have cross-cultural competence with an understanding of te ao Māori.

    • Background in either data science, undertaking LCA’s or sustainability strategies a plus.
