Climate Action Roadmap: Towards a Climate Resilient Economy [Download]

Waikato Regional Council have now adopted a Climate Action Roadmap, making a stand towards a climate-resilient economy.

We’re thrilled that each of the 9 pathways and all 47 of the actions and commitments we recommended in our Roadmap proposal May 2020 have been integrated, making up well over 90% of the final response and commitments in the roadmap.

None of this would have been possible without the decade long commitment and drive of Principal WRC Advisor Blair Dickie, and the commitment of executive staff and councillors, notably Karen Bennett, and respective Chair and Co-chair of the Climate Action Committee Jennifer Nickel and Dennis Tegg.  This response is the result of the commitment by many people over the years.
